Thinking about upping the compression in my Ninja

ok as title suggests been thinking of ways to get more power from my ninja.
OK I know its a 250 wait and put the money into a bigger bike, but I cant for almost a year and a half, and the power is boring, IF anyone could be so helpful Im looking into getting longer conrod(forged with forged pistons). I imagine it would be pretty rare finding forged 250cc pistons but dont really know where to look, looked on net but havnt found anything. ALso obviously I am waiting on my yoshi full pipe and jet kit, going to modifiy airbox. would cutting down the gasket be alot easier than the new pistons route. but not change the compression so much that the pistons cant handle it.

Sell the Ninja 250 and buy a used ZXR250.

Much easier and cheaper. Not only that but the old ZXR250 will be better made in terms of braking, frame and suspension (i.e. actually designed to deal with 180kph rather than what you will end up with - a bike capable of reaching 180kph but without the suspension, brakes or handling to deal with it)
In space, no one can smell your fart.

awww...ZXR? how about a piece of two stroke yaw!
Back to back rides on a twin 4stroke, a 4cyl 4stroke and a 2stroke never had me looking back at the 4strokes.

my hat is off to you camel - the temptation to step up without the appropriate licencing has been succumbed to by many

Will be releasing my 2003 RS250 back into the wild for some other to tame the beast. Once its got the usual 20K km rebuild done. And my full is gained, hopefully in a few weeks...
Do you smell that? Two Stroke, son.Nothing else in the world smells like that.I love the smell of Two Stroke in the morning.

There's an old saying "You've got to learn to walk before you run" think about what that implies

Longer stroke means more torque not more HP, plus on a motor like a 250 means a lot of headaches

pipe, jet kit, & airbox tweak maybe 3-5hp gain if your lucky. have you seen how thin a head gasket is as a stock item, good luck trying to slice one.

    If you're wanting a snotty 250 go for a 2smoker

whats the fine, if i get pulled over on a liter bike on my learners?? I wouldnt be able to get insurance either, its a hell of a risk buying a bigger bike, the temptation would be too much for me. I bet I would be pulled over doing like 250+on a bigger bike

    Fuxache.

Bring it to MotoTT (www.motott.co.nz) and learn how to go round corners on it first.

Heard of savings accounts? 18 months really isn't that much time.

Jesus fucking Christ, talk about gilding a turd. Just ride the poor little thing. It is what it is.

Doing all the shit you want will double what the bike owes you without increasing its value one cent, and a GS500 will still piss all over it.

ok, so you reckon you need a 1000cc bike to get pulled over/lose your licence on? well...you can do that on your Ninja.
And it would CERTAINLY suck to spend large on the 250cc to make it go faster in a straight line, only to have to spend large AGAIN by paying fines/losing licence.

CamelToe, methinks you need some new roads to traverse with your mighty steed - 100kmh roads that let well piloted GN250s keep up with equally well piloted 900s. Motorways and commuting suck - they only let you use $100 of a $300 rear tyre (the centre bit).
