I know what your saying, and I used to agree with you on setting the example etc, until I went there, and I can confidently say our efforts are a total waste of time, my own stepmother throws her glass bottles (she drinks shit loads of this stuff called SOBE) and instead of recycling it (ok it's basically her water- so say about 60 bottles at least a week between her and the old fulla, it's a health drink) she throws it into the common garbage because the recycling truck coming around is actually worse for the environment than recycling the bottles......NO SHIT!!! And that is a very common perception. They consume so much, even in the way they drive they just abuse their right to petrol, and thrash the very environment around them (americans) that's why I think us suffering with shitty shower pressure when the worst polluting countries are doing nothing is bollocks, fuck it, let us live and not suffer because of other countries total ignorance.
Cats land on their feet. Toast lands jamside down.
A cat glued to some jam toast will hover in quantum indecision

Curiosity was framed; ignorance killed the cat

Fix a computer and it'll break tomorrow.
Teach its owner to fix it and it'll break in some way you've never seen before.

"Join us on a remarkable 25-day journey by luxury private jet," invites the WWF for a price that starts at $64,950 per person, travelers will meet at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Fla. on April 6, 2009 and then fly to “remote corners” of the world on a “specially outfitted jet that carries just 88 passengers in business-class comfort.” “World class experts — including WWF’s director of species conservation — will provide lectures en route, and a professional staff will be devoted to making your global adventure seamless and memorable.” Travelers will visit the Amazon Rain Forest in Brazil, Easter Island, Samoa, Borneo, Laos, Nepal, Madagascar, Namibia, Uganda or Rwanda, and finish up at the luxury Dorchester Hotel in London. This is the very same WWF that says “the current growth in [carbon dioxide] emissions must be stopped as soon as possible” and that blames Americans for emitting 21 percent of global CO2 emissions even though the U.S. accounts for only 5 percent of the global population.

I've successfully been made to feel guilty all the time, which should warm the cockles in the hearts of green MP's. Don't think I'll change my mind anytime soon.
