    Q bout a headlight?

Okay so with the decison made to go naked up front on the TL (not me) went to buy a bog standard headlight and brackets (cheapest/road legal option) as street fighter fairings etc with projector bulbs aren't always compliant over here and are more expensive.

Problem: Most mounts that i have been able to find are for right way up forks, manily coz most naked bikes i know that run a single round headlight have RWU forks, apart from Ducati Monsters but from memory they have a mount that runs off the headstock.

Does anyone know of a bracket set up to fit USD forks, or of anyone technially minded to make something up.

The headlight is my last hurdle with the TL, after that its bolt it all together and ride and no doubt crash it again, maybe not in such a big way though :disapint:

Shouldnt the process be more like: get headlight and bracket, bolt everything together, heal hands, THEN ride?

I know of me who could attempt a very westie bracket. I sense that isn't the type of solution you are after though... It all depends what you want it to stand up to, 200+ clicks and wheelies or just town riding (though I think I know the answer to that already) and how pretty do you want it to look?

You watch ya mouth young lad, or you'll land in a world of hurt, there's nothing bullshit about a TL mowing ya down coz i decided not to brake.

As for how pretty i want it to look, fark mate wait until you see the rest of the bike and you'll know pretty ain't a word that even goes through my head, as long as it withstands the scenarios you stated, ie not the Town riding.

I was going to streetfighter my CBR600 when I first got it and ended up buying a set of CBR250RR headlights off trade me. Came with brackets and stuff and bolted on OK, the little twin headlights looked pretty cool, but when I tracked down a original headlight I ended up selling them back on trade me, so you might find something suitable on their?

I'm more so meaning brackets that will fit around the upper fork legs, one on each side with the headlight in between, peeps riding the likes of naked SV's and older naked bikes will know what i mean, just no bracket seems to be big enough to fit the cricumfance (sp) of USD forks.

You could get an extra set of clipon clamps and thread them... But you really wouldn't want your headlight to move with the forks would you ? the first corner you go round at night the light will point out of the corner not in.

Do have any insturment brackets still attached to the bike ? be easier to build off them.

Bruce --Ive got a complete headlight bracket setup here -it will atach to the instrument panel bolts under the top tripple clamp and then we'll need to get it to mount to the bottom tripple clamp wherever theres a bolt hole or two.
Itll alsi give ya a mounting for ya front indicators.
If that doesnt look like working then ya can use the ally brackets off of it then 2 strips of stainless sheet for the fork mounts.
What ya do is make up 2 flat strips of stainless, drill 2 holes in each end of em then roll em round a piece of 50mm water pipe.
Darn hard to discribe but pretty easy to do with the right gear.
