    Discount for cash

Sorry to post this a second time but this formum might be a better place to ask the question.

Moved here from the UK (married a kiwi) and being Scottish I have never paid full price for a new bike but I am not quite sure how things work here.

Looking to buy a GXR750 or CB600RR. In the UK would expect about 10-15% for a hard haggle. Does anyone have some experience with dealers here do they discount?

Just get on the phone and ask the question of each shop you call. I wish you luck (although personally I agree - money talks, bullshit walks)
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Welcome to NZ and welcome aboard Kiwibiker.
Some dealers will "negoiate" and others wont. Usually depends on what you are buying - they would be more flexible with used bikes rather than new. If buying privately then it is normal to offer a bit less than what the seller is asking if you have cash.
But no harm in 'trying it on' any situation and see how you go. Good luck.
