“Stake in the heart of the Mongols” says law enforcement officer

Dozens of member of the Mongols have been arrested, following a massive operation across six states. The arrests are the culmination of a three year undercover investigation.

"This is one of those celebrated investigations in which the organization from top to bottom has been charged and targeted," said Michael Sullivan, acting director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. "It puts a stake in the heart of the Mongols."

More than 60 people were arrested under a federal racketeering indictment. U.S. Attorney Thomas O'Brien said he believed it to be the highest number of arrests of a motorcycle gang in the nation's history.

The Mongols are primarily Latino and formed because the Hells Angels refused to allow Hispanics.

The fight in a casion was at the Laughlin River run, and the HA actually started it.

Rob Pinney, president then, went to the HAs and tried to talk to them and say they don't want trouble. A minute into talking one of the HA lunged at a mongol and a fight started. Three HA were killed and one mongol. Many injured.

That fight was how Doc became president as Pinney was stabbed three times and was out of action for quite awhile. Later Doc kicked out Pinney and his supporters.
