I have small hands and find quasi's gloves just right in the fingers but too wide in the palms they slip so then I lose grip on the throttle unless I'm holding on for dear life. No offence there Quasi.
I currently have Schoeller PCM Revit Female Fit gloves (Size S), and absolutely love them. However mine are winter gloves and are getting a little too hot to ride in currently so I'm also on the hunt for some summer gloves. Will let you should I find something just as good with less lining.

None taken, gloves are tricky because of the huge range of varibles with peoples hands, wide palms, narrow palms, thick or thin, long fingers short fingers, odd length fingers, finger nails even, the list goes on, so from a makers point of view its very hard to cover of all sizes.
its really a matter of taking advantage of all the differences in sizes from different brands to get one thats right for you.

My hand measures 6 cm across the knuckles and 16 cm from bottom of palm to tip of middle finger, so buying gloves that are warm, supple, but protective for riding is very difficult, I have to take my glove off to be able to press the switch for the heated grips as otherwise the glove's finger just bend over itself. Yes, I do have issues with reaching the clutch and brake comfortably, and my feet are size three. Let's not even start on finding decent boots. I'm probably only good for fruit picking though (according to Lockwood), but I'm not asian! You just have to keep on trying, and trying, and trying on gloves, I'm sure there will be a pair out there for my hands someday!

Not sure which area you are in (other than the middle of chaos) but I have a pair that I got from Boyds in Hamilton. They had a good selection of womens gloves, winter and summer. Agree that you really have to try them on though other wise it's just like a box of chocolates (Said in the best possible forrest gump voice)

I have short fat fingers, my best fitting gloves are a pair of dririders, but other Dri Rider are hopeless. One suggestion I have seen if you have short finger and don't like the space at the end, is to put a small ball of cotton wool into the end of each finger to fill it out. I do find over time as gloves loosen up and scrunch up a bit.

Oh yeah - I read the "customising" post. More'n one pair of glubz? Hmmmm... could become a habit. I've got an "unknown number" of pairs of gloves (I hate to throw things away when they're 'old') but tend to wear only two pairs regularly (but not at the same time), and occasionally wear a pair of the older ones... because.... um.... dunno really. Just because I can?
My current gloves are some Held gloves (can't remember the model), some Spidi SportComp H2Out gloves when it's cold and/or wet, and I occasionally wear my Spidi Ravens (lightweight waterproof ones) or Spidi Pro-1 (lightweight non-waterproof, yellow/black/white/grey), or an old pair of AGV gloves (very lightweight, and very blue!), or some old black leather gloves (semi-waterproof, and semi-hated) because the ferkn things won't wear out, despite being used for chores around home.
I NEVER wear my Orina waterproof gloves, coz they're complete and utter shit. I may have chucked them in the bin, or else they're lurking in the depths of my bike gear cupboard, waiting to attack me one night...
I've also got some ski gloves, and could talk about the suitability of bike gloves for skiing, and ski gloves for biking, but we won't go into that, coz that would be off topic(ish).

Love the fact you have a bike gear cupboard.. we do too. Well infact we have 2. One for the jackets (x3) and One for helmets (x4) gloves (x3) and a million helmet bags...wtf?? Oh and all the cleaning gear for the bikes incl the 287 'special' cloths go into yet another separate shelf unit.

It's no big deal. Next to your head, your hands are probably the most vulnerable part of you when you're riding, and very sensitive to cold and damage. I haven't had to justify it yet, but it'd be easy to do: if I wrecked my hands, I couldn't work. More to the point, it'd be very hard to post crap on KiwiBiker. Then where would you all be?
