Here's Motu with the negatives...
That's an old model, look for rust, specialy the roof seam for the high top, front pillar, all the way down, floor panel to front panel - look from underneath for that one,and the rear chassis under the door...better check the door too.Head gasket repair...why? Was the cause rectified (radiator, water pump, hoses etc) That would be a 3Y engine - a good old pushrod motor, but we were glad to see the end of them...they have reoccouring head gasket failure because the alloy goes soft and bolt tension backs off,the only way out is a new head.Steering shaft lower universals were prone to wear as well, also all the gear linkages.Other than that they were a nice van.

High top vans are such a nice treat, especially if you have put bikes into normal top vans and suffered repeditive head trauma![]()

The guy selling it is a panelbeater HMMM.
Anyhoo its got Wof and rego and its on a COF which I think is tougher than a WOF.
The other good thing is that the first row of back seats face backwards --Now baby bikie has a bed for the trips down -hehehehehehe

Hope this one is a good one frosty, we have had 2 hiace vans so far, both diesel and both I have to say have been awesome vehicles. Our first one did over 300,000 kms and had awesome compression still after all those kms, we only sold it so we could get a 4wd model.
Our current van is a hiace and has done just under 200,000kms and is going well also, I really can't praise the hiace van highly enough, never had a hi-top, but can't imagine it would be hugely different.
Yeah good luck Tony.
I have never owned a Hiace myself, but a few of my friends have and they just keep going, hope its in good nick and takes you everywhere its needed without any hitches!
