haha na it was all good mate. Like we've said before there'll always be those at the front going nuts.
For me personally, as long as I know someone will be waiting at all the turn offs and I have a small group to ride with I'm all good. I like being in amongst it and following some experience.

You may need more than new tyres to try and keep up. lol
Never used those tyres before but herd plenty of good things about the PP. When my Pilot Roads are gone (probably after training day at Taupo next sunday) i will probably get some Continental Road Attacks, had these on my last bike. Got good milage and were good in all conditions.
Have used the Diablo Strada's on my Bird great in the dry, Awesome in the wet with reasonable tyre life @ 12kRR 16K FR. I have tryed a few different brands over the last year or two & noticed the Pirelli's fronts lasted much much longer than any of the other brands FYI![]()
Wow 1000 posts, this thred is getting big
The pace up front was fastish ... paddy probably egged on by baine, insomnia1, and myself ... I gave myself a stern talking to when I got home
insomnia1: no disrepect man, I just thought if we're gonna go fast then why muck about![]()
on the subject of tyres:
I've just been down to ham honda, and on the phone to boyds.
Do I:
a. Buy a set of stradas for $500
or
b. Keep my current m1 front, and buy a z6 for the rear at $300
I was thinking along the lines of "maxed out rides"........
The only part of the ride that I have not done was the Otewa Road loop south from Otorohanga and back through Arohena to Arapuni Road- but that is on my agenda when I get the chance.....did you in fact do that bit?
I like Arapuni Road and the loop through Horahora and Maungatautari to Leamington.......very low traffic whenever I go through there.....
