Hey with regard to looping around the Mt Naki, i hear good things about the road which loops around closer to the mountain.. might be an option

Yeah i was lookin at that, i have been on that road but i was 4 so i remember the train i was playing with in the back of the car - it was blue....

My old man will know those roads pretty well, the map's just a guide as he will lead us to some good roads. We could end up going down early and spending 1/2 the day on back roads

I wouldn't mind going up to the top of the mountain road (sealed) as well, its a stunning view and quite a hill climb.

Dawson falls is on southside to egmont village info centre I prefered the village side as views where better there only problem is roadworks at the top by info centre, coming down was like riding through a sea of tar UNREAL !!!!

We have a few members who are allergic to loose gravel and wet tar, come up in rashes and get all farty ... we may have to pick an alternative route.
