I had a blonde moment in my car tonight...I don't drive it that often anymore so when I do I sometimes forget that I'm not on my bike (which you would think would be pretty noticable). I went to swerve around a bit of tin in the middle of the road...so what did I do...I leant down...and of course my car did not go anywhere...DOH!!!
    Lucky no one was watching

Haha its not uncommon I tend to dodge stuff I dont need to dodge in the car and go around corners too fast I drive a Rav4, Going around corners too fast is easy.

Ditto to all the above. One of the best and would love to do again when we get stuck for a route.

12 bikes started out and 10 finished. A few had to go early. My tacho registered 311 kms from hotel to hotel so a good ride and not so late back.

We sort of did a count of people not on the ride (at the pub) and came up with ckai, brooke, millen, donna, dave, krissie, sharon, craig ,bryce (came to pub),adamm and jess, squid (mainlander now),richard, munta, ian, slofox, geene,
rom, wysper, amanda and not to mention a few others!! If all turned up we would have 25 bikes+, cool

Well Paddy, I asked for more windies and you certainly delivered

Thanks very much! I had a great day.

Was good to see Bain and Smoky enjoyed the day, hope to see you guys back out with us sometime. You're both welcome to join us at the Te Rapa tavern on Wednesday nights were we discuss the next route and have a catch up yarn.

Hey I just happen to like my mental Gixxa! Would get me to uni REAL quick. Takes 20 mins to walk so not too bad. Yeah I might get a more relaxed bike. Will see how this winter goes first though eh!

Yeah gixxers are handy when you are in a hurry I'd imagine you'd want heated everything to ride in winter down there!!!
One in four people are unbalanced. Think of three friends - if they seem OK then you're the one!

Yeah somthing like that. Or just get a snowmobile... Now that would have a certain amount of class!!! Might have to fit it with wheels though for the days its not quite so icey and freezing though.

Going down the west coast on a bike if you had fine weather would just be the greatest ay. A really good mix of strights and loads of twisties that Paddy would lose most of his foot pegs on. You would just want a bike that will do at least 180+kms to a tank though. Some of the gas stations are quite far apart. Whats the range on your bikey Hatchet? *runs off giggling*
