My bikes front sprocket chain came off just after the NW motorway (on my way to school). I called and they came within half an hour.

The guy put the chain back and (silly me...) tentioned the chain for me

P.S. now the chain is TOO tight, is that dangerous??

You're a naughty boy. Chain tension is very important and a loose chain is a safety issue. You're lucky that it just jumped off as they can come off and get jammed, locking the back wheel.

Chain too tight will increase wear on itself and the sprockets. It's not a safety issue, but should be rectified asap to save you having to buy new ones.

I realised that the chain went hot when I stopped (after riding about 600 meters). It must be rubbing the plastic bit near the swing arm.

I think I will take bus home...

P.S. Last night during the NASS, I noticed a big CLUNK sound dring the exercise... twice... But I only thought it was my sidestand...

More likely to be the chain jumping some teeth. If you're lucky the sprocket teeth won't be too knackered.
Also, if your chain is too tight, you may find gearchanges are a bit worse.
Instead of taking the bus home, learn how to maintain your bike! Checking the chain and adjusting it is VERY easy, and summat you should be doing every week.

Do you think it is safe to ride at this condition? I think the chain needs to be abit loosened for now asap... btw the chain is in correct sprocket tooth and all.

Did you let it get too loose again, that chain is flogged either way, replacement of both it and the sprockets would be a good idea. An overtightened chain can do some pretty evil damage to your engine.... looks like ille be seeing you later

Pay a mechanic, your pathetic lack of maintenance might kill someone, maybe even you. I mean ffs, tensioning a chain isn't rocket science.

Ease up, explain to EJ how he might go about tensioning the chain on his bike instead of bagging him. That would be way more helpful in my opinion.

I found the bike's original toolkit is enough to do chain tensioning... but then sometimes buying a second hand bike means it doesn't come with a toolkit.
