    Visor for HJC helmet

    HEy all,

    I have a HJC CS12 helmet.
In the mornings I suffer from sunstrike real bad.. (ride with one arm sheilding my eyes, Must looks funny to others)

I am debating getting a tinted visor for it.

Just wondering if this is a good idea or not?
Also how much approx they are and where to get then?

    Any help will be appreciated

tinted visors are all good by me. i only use clear ones at night (try to carry it with me incase im out till after dark) just be careful of red ones! (you cant see red lichts or red cars!)
You're driving a car. It isn't a telephone booth, a beauty parlor or a restaurant.

A strip of thick tape across the top 25mm of the visor might help..

I had the same model helmet and a tinted visor was the best thing I ever did for it, I think it cost around $52 but dont quote me,

    Sunglasses dont work??

If you go the tint visor, put a pair of clear safety glasses under your seat. If you get caught out at night, you can chuck the glasses on and ride with your visor open. Tinted visors suck at night.

Good idea... Nothing worse than riding with your tinted visor open at night and going through roadworks. Concrete dust in eyes sucks.

Tinted visor is the best thing you can do for summer riding. No more sunnies in the way.

The one problem I face is that I also wear glasses... and putting sunglasses over my glasses then saftey glasses... ( I dont think they will fit lol)

Good idea with the safety glasses tho. Means you dont need to carry my clear visor with you.

I bought a "smoked" visor from Mr Motorcyles today.. Its not too dark but I'm told that it still has high visabilty in low light situations unlike the 80% tint one they also had there.

Thanks for all the help guys.. This site is like the bible for every biker
