Well i'm on the other side of the world and just flicked on the telly and guess what I see.....

A program called naural born racers..

And whats it about you ask. Well 30 of the uk's top aspiring superbike riders each have 20000 pounds riding on the chance to become the new rider on the virgin media superbike team. They are all racing yamaha's New R6 that are identical. Looks like fewcking great fun.. To bad NZ desn't have something like this...

I wouldn't be putting the better part of $50,000 up just to get the chance represent some corporate conglomerate racing their bikes. But a more affordable option similar to that would be great. That's what Shaun is working on. Approx $5,000 to rent the bikes for the national series, yet to know what the bikes will be, but it's looking like a 650 vtwin of some description. But I suppose there's not necessarily any contract at the end of it. But the competitors will gain a lot in terms of experience and confidence, and will genuinely know where their abilities stand compared to others.
