Well if they couldn't be bothered selling me the gloves and pants, why would I show any interest in a bike, Duh silly me I didn't see the sign that said "purchase a bike to recieve Great service" Never mind us mentally challenged have plenty of shops that make us welcome.![]()
Good lesson there, treat every customer well, because you don't know if and when they will be back.
Many years ago (more than 10) my then 18 year old daughter bought a 50cc scooter from Wellington Motorcycles. I was guarantor so went with her. We were new to Wellington, didn't know one bike shop from another.
Luckily Pete McDonald was the sales guy.
I was so impressed by him, and the way he treated her with patience and respect, as is she were buying the most expensive bike in the shop, that I decided there and then that this is who I would buy any bike off, if I had the choice.
Well I have bought 4 bikes off Pete since then, my partner 2. And it has always been a good experience.
I found Boyles good ...they have limited gear in store but will get almost anything in for you to try and buy!
Agreed. I haven't had any bad experiences in Wellington shops, I have bought gear from most. But the choice is pretty limited.
My current jacket was actually bought from Peter Stevens in Adelaide. The accessories department was bigger than any I have ever seen in New Zealand and I must have tried on about 20 jackets.
