ok, so at 10:50am morning my little brother comes in and asks me if i get to WWH at 11am and go on a short ride we get tickets to big boys toys

half asleep, i ask if that's today, and he says yes.

i go back to sleep, then arise to post here and then back to sleep.

then get up cause the cops called telling me to go pick up my other little brother's bike - dad's old r6 - as he's lost his licence.

get mum to drive me there (just shy of wellsford), but swear that i saw him riding the other way at about kumeu

sure enough dad and littlest brother rode past trying to catch up to the WWH ride they were late for, and "escorted" him home

so, study done today - zero

    riding - zero

sitting in car with mum - lots

i saw CB argh on the way, pulling a similar stunt.

Dear oh dear... So your Dad gets the r6 back, then?
How many months did your brother last on it?

Someone else on KB reckoned the Police were hoarding little green plastic things out that way today - there must be a shortage or summat?

Moral of story - midweek rides rule!

well it's exactly why i didn't want it

too easy to do excessive speed

although, ironically in this context, he was chasing after his mate on an NC30

Yerp - big bore bike = big speed very easily, and it feels WAAAAY too comfortable sometimes.

My good lady had an excruciating dental emergency on Saturday evening when I was at the library. A wisdom tooth was pulled at 7.30ish PM.

Needless to say teh trip home to the rescue was dispatched in record time - I'm no ghostrider, but 'twas maybe like his cautious cousin.

I had time to reflect on this afterwards, and it didn't really achieve much but put a lot at risk because of the roads involved. I didn't think about this at the time. While I tried to be courteous but quick, I probably disturbed the odd innocent cager by big-loud-yellow-bike-with-lights-on-full-whizzing-past them.

Food for thought really. What's your licence and limbs worth?
