    Actrix Streetstock 08

Well where do I start?Fistly it was good to see the vic club take the initiative and give the 250s their own series so the 150s can get on with the serious stuff of proper streetstock racing. It was bloody good to see the number of new riders in the 150 class especially the girls. They all rode with their haeds and kept the momentum going by reaching pbs at every post without doing anything stupid or dangerous. It was bloody good to meet them as the series moved on and I hope they will all be back. There sure was a lot of enthusiasm shown and some real talent emerging,Dont want to get into naming them all as I will be here all day,But my pick of the series would have to be Koba for showing the others that its not all about winning every race and that consistency and careful planning pays off.Congrats on your second place overall. As for the rest of yous fullas,Keep at it and watch what the faster guys are doing and try to learn from them.As Ive said before if anybody wants a hand just ask and Ill do whatever I can. Will try to organise some tracktime a bit later on probably at Taupo as the corner speeds there are a little slower and easier to learn on.We plan to have some input with refining the rules for the 250s with Mel and the team when things are back to normal.A huge thanks to Mel and the people who helped organise the series under extreme circumstances with the events that unfolded.Once again hope too see you guys back out asap and good luck.Cheers Billy

Congrats on a great season Billy. No doubt you'll be employing a cabinet maker so you have somewhere for all the bloody trophies man. I'm not so frightened of being old now
I'm glad you got the Grant Russell especially. It was kinda inevitable.

Well done mate - you're an inspiration to other old bastards who want to keep racing!
Good to see that these days the older racers like Billy are more than willing to give advice and to help young racers. You kids should make the most of it. Back when Billy was racing seriously no-one would tell you anything, everything had to be learnt the hard way...

Awesome work Billy - even if I didnt notice you next to me on the track. Obviously I am more focused than you.....

And I concur about Malcolm, without bias I can honestly say that he deserved that placing in more ways than one!

Keep up the good work mate, I love your enthusiasm!!

FFS Billy , with that kind of family quantity you can start your own series .

Then you really will have to build a BIG trophy cabinet.
Well done on the win , now you have to defend it too !!!.

To hear that from you is massivley encouraging, I look up to you both as a racer on the track and for your efforts and encourgement off the track.
It is an attitude we can all learn from.
Thanks for what you do for the streetstock racers and for being out there and giving us learners someone to chase and a benchmark to aim for.

Congrats on you first, the Grant Russell, the overall points and was there another one?? That is really a great effort!

Congratulations Billy on such a fantastic season and well deserved as well. You are sure a credit to motorcycle racing and the knowledge and your helpfulness towards the other riders especially the new 1's is truely remarkable. I'm sure Cherie enjoyed every minute she was out there racing on your 150 and we look forward to seeing her back out there in next years series as well as yourself. Please take credit where its due as we need more like you in this exciting and enjoyable sport of motorcycle racing, giving those who are new to it a go with your input and experience. Well Done. Cheers Skip.
