thanks for the advice people, well its still doing it, on two occasions I have been changing gear and its gonna saound weird but when I put my foot down to change up when it reaches about N the bloody footlever starts moving up and down really fast, it wasnt heaps of movement its hard to guess coz it only happened for about half a second, but maybe 5-8mm up and down. thats happened twice both shifting from first to second, Ive booked the 5000k for tomorrow so il get the guys to check it out.
sorry couldnt say if its making a noise, I DO know how to use a clutch, so thats not the problem
Iv never had that problem on my ninja, it has 1300ks on it now.
Mine used to find a false neutral between 5th&6th, holding pressure on the gear leaver till after clutch release worked a treat.
Although since I've changed to Castrol GPS the problem seems to have disappeared
i took it in today and told them what happened, I didnt really say much, they didnt really say much, but I can tell they have done something to the clutch, other than that not any different just a normal service
actually mine disengages with only a slite pull on the clutch, handy when making fast gears changes. btw. Im walking the next week or two keeping on the lowdown, I have heard from a source police are looking for a red ninja around town since friday afternoon/![]()
yer, this has happened to me a few times, and its not a great look, ive been on bikes since i was 8, talked to my dad and he metioned "false neutral", i guess its just a matter of learning the bikes ways. on another note, is there a 250 ninja group or club ???
Con Braccia E Occhi Aperti
I've had that a few times on my '88 model. Between 6th and 5th I think.
There isn't really enough to start a club for it, but this website is dedicated to the ninja 250, loads of good info on there, check the wiki and the forum.
