The only effective solution here is to hire some professionals to go and "abduct" this child back to New Zealand. Seriously.

Watched it. Was very impressed with Bruces attitude with regard to doing his best to get Dylan back the proper way, rather than going down *other* avenues, no doubt available to get him back to NZ. The beaurecratic BS is utterly mind boggling. However, hope this are now on a faster track, and he is home soon.

A few of us met up at Bruce's house last night to watch and offer support. In fact, while my house is being renovated, I've been living with Bruce for several months during this ordeal and have seen what he's going through. Mike McRoberts and 60 minutes did an excellent job - well done guys.

Bruce remains strong and above all, determined. He WILL get his son back and when he does, there's going to be one hell of a celebration.

I watched it and immediately recognized Bruce as the guy who was with you when we bumped into you guys down Mission bay on a Latte run (I mean Beers and Bourbon for breakfast).

What a tragic story and we can only wish the best for him - it sounds like positive steps were happening at the end of the story - please do keep us informed.

He must be one hell of a fighter - what a terrible ordeal for him to go thru. Here is hoping that faith, strength, courage, and decency win the day. It sounds like he has all in spades.

I watched it what a gorgeous little boy. I know it must be hard for Bruce, going about it the 'proper' way may take time and be extremely hard emotionally as well as frustrating and exhausting but in the end I am certain it will have a happy ending and he will be reunited with his son. All the best!

Good luck, I hope he gets the good news he is waiting for very soon.

Just finished watching the vid. Thats sad, the only thing he can do is wait and hope.... Will the turkish govt follow it up.
It would be a battle as its her first son and the first son is very importent in the muslem country like many will try and hold on to him as for mill service.

    Dont shoot me

I watched it and, viewed from both sides. She seems ok, but affraid of losing her son. I understanding that. He seems ok too, notibly upset at how things in his life have panned out. I understand that. Couldn't help but ask the question (when the show finished) why, when she wanted to go back home with their son, did he not offer to bring her family out here? That could have been done for 1/10th of what has been spent so far. Now I am not judging any party with this comment but also felt that, when she agreed to return to NZ and didn't, is it possible that the thought entered her head that, once she got here, she would never return to Turkey with their son?

A terrible situation and I hope that it all turns out for betterment of the young boy involved.

I watched it and I have total sympathy for the guy.
The mothers behaviour reminds me that the country changes but the shit stays the same.
His big mistake was coming home on his own and believing she would follow.
Next time DO NOT LET HIS SON OUT OF HIS SIGHT until back in NZ.
