Have a company wanting to use some of my photos for a 2009 broucher, 25,000 prints. They have 18 small thumbnails and one half page image.
I dont know what sort of money they have, but I was thinking of asking for around $500?
Thoughts please?

how bigs the company?
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot
What photos are they? Nude? If so you gotta ask for heaps more!![]()
If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.
sort of depends on the company, i think 500 is fair.
Take into consideration why your photos are worth more than the trouble than the company's regular photographer/marketing agent would have in taking the same or better photos themselves, you might be able to put a price on that extra value.
AND .....
You need to specify usage rights, in terms of type of usage, frequency, and duration. If they are using the images for the broucher only, or going in annual reports, press kits, on the company website, etc, then each of those additional uses should also be included over and above your original fee.
No body move... I dropped my brain
Company is reasonably large, 30 odd staff - BUT they are run on arts grants etc and the smell of an oily rag.
The photos were taken of one of their events I was working on a couple years ago, as such can't be recreated - but they are not looking to recreate works of art, more of a 'this is how it happened' thing.
I've said they are welcome to the shots as they showed me in that layout they sent me, that its good for 20,000 to 30,000 prints, and nothing else.
Its going to a meeting now, I'll hear back this afternoon
Thanks for your thoughts.. as I suspected, Underselling yourself is very easy to do.
