    I called him a fuckwit.

    Are you related to him?

Ps, If you think about (and there's no evidence so far that yer a big thinker), telling me to stop telling people what to do, is telling me what to do.
Are you a hypocrite, or just confused?
    Im not sure
To do something well is so worth while that to die trying to it better cannot be foolhardy. It would be a waste of a life to do nothing with ones ability, for I feel life is not measured in achievement, not in years alone. BRUCE MCLAREN

Yes, I have heard of private hospitals (although personally, I think that spelling it in caps is kinda hissy-fit gay). Perhaps you could re-read my post (slowly this time - try wiping the spittle of your monitor first), I said private accident & emergency clinics.

Next up - Health insurance don't pay income (and the one you're thinking of, Disability Income cover usually doesn't top up ACC benefits).

As for guarantees, there are many, and one of those is that squids will crash and our ACC rego component will increase.

So your score is 0/3 - congratulations.
Round here, St John do an exellent job of getting you to hospital, if needed a chopper gets you to Dunedin within an hour. No need for private A&E here...

Better start looking for decent insurance then... Mine is, plenty of cover in all those areas.... You get what you pay for.

Some people get lucky... even the dumb and stupid twats... one of those squids may, or may not prang, or the careful rider may get taken out by a squid cage driver, or not. Can't pick where or when...no matter how hard we try.

If I crashed and got an ACC pay out, that'd be sweet.....What's wrong with claiming back some of YOUR ACC money you've been paying the Govt all your life?

But that's the point - when you have to be choppered to Hospital - who is paying? I can't fault anyone for crashing (god knows I've done it enough times), but crashing without proper gear is just dumb. You can't pick where or when but let's be prepared...

The post I was replying to was some Nuppty who somehow thought that having health insurance had owt to do with ACC levies...

    Nothing at all.
But would you not wear safety gear at work 'cause you were covered by ACC?

I'd probably feel like getting up every few minutes and doing the YMCA dance if I was sitting at my desk all day with a full on orange reflective jacket and hard hat...

...and I'd still wear the stubbies...

Mark, considering the amount of silly shit you have been busted doing or told us about, this really is the pot calling the kettle black. But I take it you have nothing better to do? Yes, riding in shorts and jandals is fucking stupid.

Yes, it pisses me off that my tax dollars are wasted on morons.

(However, I don't usually post in these ATGATT threads - I've got even bigger fuckwits to fry).

The people who pay are ALL tax paying people, that have/are paying tax in New Zealand. If ACC payment of medical costs and expenses, plus ACC benifits paid to individuals (2/3's of wage) the ACC levies in rego etc, would not cover it.

I do dumb things, even at work, in an attempt to do it the quick way. Not always with complete success, and not always without pain... Payouts may seem good, but usually involve lots of PAIN... or loss of body parts. NOT my ideal way of getting cash...

I don't mind paying ACC levies provided the footage is duly uploaded to YouTube for our collective viewing pleasure, better value than SkyTV.

Hearsay! That was pure dedication to the journey, even if it was on four wheels

    Not the point.

The ACC levy you pay in your MV Rego is directly related to Motorcycle claims.
When people like Mr. RG150 Fuckwit are responsible for it increasing.

No-ones breaking any laws. Every time you get on a bike your taking a risk, gear or not, it's just the consequences are bigger.

If you're really concerned about people wasting your precious tax dollars, there's far bigger targets.

Who pissed in your cornflakes this morning?

Jaysus, yer not good with context, are you?
Check the first post Einstein -
We're not talking about "bigger targets" and if you want to talk about them we will - just fuck off and start yer own thread.
Nobody is talking about anyone breaking the law.
This is about wankers who cost us money.
Let me put this simply for you - every moron who falls off a bike without proper gear adds to the ACC levy that you get to pay.
