    Vicki's Vic Round 6

Thanks VMCC for another great event, and exciting series.

    PREP
Well I had a setup problem and shredded up a brand new slick in two sessions on Friday, ...oops!

    QUALIFYING AND RACING
I used this setup and tyre for F2 Qualifying as we didn't have time to sort it before I went out, sqirming around the track with a 27th on the F2 grid and 31st in F1, so i was happy just to be there

Then saved by Robert Taylor (huge thanks) as he came over and dealt to 99's suspenders in time for my 1st F2 race while Kerry, Luke and Deano (huge thanks) dealt to changing wheels and tyres for me. LEGENDS! (I wasn't stressing....HONEST)

Race 1 was loads of fun, I think Im getting the hang of launching that dry clutch better now, getting off the grid I was able to make up a few spots, then a few more into splash. Dicing with Nick and Mike on their Duc's was cool. After the re-start I had a good feel for the new set-up and new the shock was doing the bizzo much better now. I put in a new PB 1:16.6 and was pretty happy when i saw that.

Big cheers to Nick Prestige, we had some fun battles out there all day and its great that we keep pushing each other along.

Bit of a clutch prob in my F1 race, felt the bike a little down on power, some slipping going on but did my best.
Back to the pits and lucky there was lunch before my 2nd F2 race. No lunch for Kerry though, he was head down arse up going like mad to get the clutch ripped apart. Thanks everyone for lending the tools etc. Back together and out for R2...

Gave a good twist at the launch and felt the front hovering for a good 30mtrs, passed a few into splash. Could hear Nicks duc on my rear wheel AGAIN! so I got all feisty and pushy like girls are supposed to do,and dug a little deeper and he didn't get by me. Spent most of the race dicing with Bryce Meads.... he's dam good at ensuring I near have heart failure at every corner! phoaaaaar lucky ive got a sharp mind eh but we kept it clean and I somehow got round him on the sweeper on the last lap and gassed it to cross the line ahead of him. 15th for that race.

    OH SHIT MOMENTS
Couple of those too....one where I was too focused on the back of Bryces bike instead of the turn....missed my brake marker, it went something like slamming down through the gears and rear wheel snaking along way sideways and in the air a bit, I tipped in latewayyyy late and hoped like heckdoh:My knee slammed hard on the ground and 99's rear brake lever grounded while I recall swearinga lot too. We ran wide as ever.....but she got me through!

    SAT NIGHT
Drank a few quiets, but not near as messy as my pit mates though!

    THANK YOU
All my sponsors that get me there, my pit mates, for making racing even more fun, I was so stoked to see you all smiles after ya's all did so well. And.....all my friends, fellow racers and KBers. Yas all help me get more determined everytime

I'd also like to wish Drew the very best in his new racing ventures. And thank him for the help he gave while we were team mates. We had some cool times. But i know I'll still be doing my best to sneak a wheel past him on the track real soon.

99 is now off visit the "man" of Ducati for a maintenance, new exhaust, new shock and if Im even more lucky.....a few weeeeeeee mods as well. And Im gonna work on how i can make improvements on my riding and do my best to get them times respectable .
Cheers all, sorry its a long read. Till next time.
    Vicki.

Wowee chickie, you just keep bringing down your PB all the time - great stuff, and fantastic watching you and Nick egging each other on.

Inspirational stuff - giving those knee sliders a bit of work out too I see!!
