    Wedding venues and reception ideas

Hi I've been drafted into helping plan a friends wedding for feb2010 and just mulling over a few ideas

They want a Celtic theme for the reception

they are also not sure foor hamilton or auckland for a place to have wedding at

So i'm asking if there are any nice places in the waikato or auckland that maybe you've been to weddings etc

    all ideas are welcome

    Cheers
    BigD

Get your in-laws to pay you $15,000 to elope.

No question here dude 2 places to look at one is Called Rivermill in Kumeu. Cool olde worldee feel for around 50-70 guests.
The other one that looks really english castlish is Settlers lodge.
It would suit a larger group though

We had our wedding at Northridge Country Lodge in Silverdale which was great. had everything there including accommodation for out of towners: http://www.northridge.co.nz/

Also went to a wedding at Woodlands Homestead in Gordonton which was a great venue ( http://www.woodlands.co.nz/page/wood_8.php )

Try this Guy he is a mate of mine who caters to Weddings and Events, he also has a caterers licence, www.locationcatering.co.nz
His ability to Cater any where means that you can choose a location that is a bit different, and may not be catered to by normal caterers.
