All jokes aside though, I suspect you may be right (well I know you are.... in more ways than one!) especially in light of the hordes (some 47,000 this year apparently) who have left these shores recently bound for the bright lights of Aussie - I would put money on the fact that most of these people would not be voting for the scenario you outline above.
Lets hope that this poll does reflect the outcome of the election - again, qualified with the 'at time of posting' suffix
Obviously it is a very small sample, but it does give us a very rough general idea, i was hoping a shitload more people would vote on this poll but obviously not, if it shaped up like above it wouldnt matter who labour shacked up with national would still have the majority.

Sorry if that didnt make sense, i have a cold.

All this poll explains is what a load of bikers think. We're not an accurate sample of the whole country, of which the majority hate bikers or simply don't see them. Most bikers have a bit of money behind them as our addiction does require money to burn so they're more likely to be biased toward National or Act, as the poll confirms, as they'd rather not loose this money and therefore loose their bikes. Or they're simply sick of Labour and are voting for the second default position. Though Act, at the time of this post, have fewer poll votes than Labour, Act has a smaller following in the country as a whole. In the great scheme of things, Labour is polling very low considering the amount of people that have taken this poll.

It's an interesting poll, but it doesn't suggest that National are going to win by a landslide this election. Of course, that is going to happen due to reasons I hinted at before.

Despite all I know, I still don't think I'm educated enough in politics to actually vote. I still don't read up enough on local policies as I pay too much attention to American politics. I spend far too much time living my own life. I don't think the public should be in charge of their own fate, they're too ignorant to make an informed choice. Course, that's why we vote for politicians, people that make the choices for us. And to have people well educated in who those politicians are and in charge of deciding who'd decide best for us is just silly and complicated and we'll end up with more people to hate.

Hilarious. So you're actually voting for the Greens right? You're just taking the piss with that comment right?

Not that I'm in favour of the Greens. But each to their own.

Bullshit. A non-vote shows the amount of people who are not impressed with any of those two-faced lying pricks. A good number of non voters would send a clear message that real change is needed... not just to and throwing all the time between the same pack of idiots.

You don't have to vote like a brainless sheep.

If Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot were running for government... would you mindlessly vote for one of them? Only to have whoever got in say "well, 75% of the country voted for me" Fuck off. Voting for these pricks only encourages them.

If people take the non-vote option, then it sends a clear message that there is opportunity for something different. This is why everybody needs to be on the electoral roll. They can then see how many didn't vote. It is an equally important reflection.

The... "if you don't vote you can't complain" is the bullshit lie they want you to swallow to help keep the disillusion of "democracy".

A non-vote sends the message that the voting populace of X Country are a bit sad.

The US is lucky to get a 50% turn out for Presidential elections, and 33% for either of the house elections.

We all know what the world thinks of the US.

Or that the system is a bit sad.

If Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot and George Bush were running and nobody else... would you vote for any of them?

No - Id vote for the other guy.

Remember that there are many millions of people who DID vote for Bush and think he is a very good president (cannot understand that myself - but there you go)

Saying that a non-vote is a statement isn't a great argument - because while your non-vote IS, for many others who dont vote - Its NOT.

There has to be some party that you believe has a better understanding on what you want and can do better for the country?

If you don't vote it shows that you can't be bothered in the democratic process & you don't give a rats arse who is actually running the show.
Therefore you have no right to bitch when a party you don't like does get into power.
If you wish to do a protest vote there are plenty of half baked shitforbrains minor parties to place your vote with.
Winston needs all the help he can get

Failing all these options then you can vote for none by simply striking out all the candidates on the polling form & registering your protest that way.

Pol Pot was in power on the end of a gun Not exactly a democratic process.

At least we can vote & the results are taken seriously, no one is murdered or tortured for their vote....

But how many voted for him because they thought he was the lesser of two evils and they thought they had to vote for someone..??? Fucking marvellous. Now he can go start his wars thinking the majority of the country is behind him. (as well as God/Jesus)

Politicians love you brainless little sheep running around playing their silly games as if it actually mattered.
