    We have moved.

Hey guys, just a note to let ya know that The Redneck now resides in Kapiti. Jane and I are now up this way. Will tell you how it all went.
Last week I had not been online much as of all the packing etcetera. Come Friday afternoon the truck arrived. So we started loading up and filled the truck up. Meanwhile the wife dissapeared to say a final goodbye to her mates (typical whilst I was doing the work). Loaded up by 6pm friday (28 Cubuc meters). Bike was loaded on back too. Well, the house after the movers had left was a friggin tip....Still had walls to clean down, vacuming etc and general tidying to do. where the fridge was I believe resided a whole brand new ecosystem of unusual lifeforms, moulds and fungi yet to be discovered. Well I obliterated them with a bucket of hot soapy water....coulda been the cure for cancer there but I doubt it...

I worked through the night cleaning and finishing off a bottle of whiskey....no point taking up a half emty bottle...4.am I crashed on the floor w/ just a pillow and a blanket. Woke up at 5 30 to find myself surrounded by our 4 cats...

Wife turns up at 6 am, we pack the car up with whats left....4 cats (mildly sedated), 2 dogs and a motormower that has to go back to the ex...drop off the mower and rush to lawyers to drop off keys....Left CHCH at 7 am...drove up to picton with a smell of what we thought was dog farts wafting through the overloaded stationwagon...little did we know what the real cause was...Got onto the boat at about 2 pm, the sea was starting to chop up and was a moderate to rough crossing....By this time I was exhausted having been pretty much awake since 7 am friday...Slept a bit on the boat with the help of Mr JD...5.30 or 6pm in port, and at Kapiti by 7pm....unloaded car at sis in laws to find ginger fluffy cat was covered in shit....she did not like her bath....but man she stunk....

had some dinner and off to bed by 8.30 for a well deserved sleep....

Come sunday was the time to actually see the house (I had not seen it, only pics)...so off to otaki for final inspection, then off to Traffic in Otaki to meet up with Chanceyy, Sinfulls wife Heidi, and Bryce...thourougly good people, enjoyed lunch guys...

We take posession today, so playing waiting game...gotta go shopping so will talk later.....ciao all

Have to stick me nose in here and have a speel !
Missed meeting Bren for lunch on sunday due to an addiction of mine but wont talk riding for a moment !
Knew he was pretty much on his todd up this way, so did a couple of drive bys' past his new pad sunday arvo and a couple more monday morning to see if i could spot the house movers backing the truck in !
When there was no sign on the second pass, i relented and stopped at the bottle0 for a few bourbons !
In typical fashion one of my mates sniffed it out and of course so began the usuall Te Horo session !
Think we were just starting on the second (box) when i finally heard from Bren haha (catching up on that sleep Bro ?)
His Farther in Law had Met the movers on saturday and unloaded the truck into the garage so it all needed to be lugged inside !
Quick call to my son who lives just around the corner from The Rednecks to get his biceps there to help and another to Bren (after realising that none of us were capable of driving nowhere) and then wandered out to the highway to wait for Bren and Jane to pick us up !
After a couple of quick giddays, meet and greet kinda stuff i dropped a can O bourbon in Brens hand and said welcome to my world. Piled the Mrs and dog into Janes new wagon lol, good thing she's an animal lover (the dog here ppl !!!!) Must look more into a sidecar unit (for the dog again here ppl !!)
I must have looked slightly google eyed cause Bren gave me a little heads up that the the mom in law was at the house haha (get used to it Bren, your only 15 mins away from her now) So first thing i did when i got there was B line for the mom in law to give her a 9 % bourbon feuled taste of my sinfull charm !
Seemed to work fine lol !
Next was stick my nose in the garage to peruse the collection of rather large peices of furniture, then wander out to admire thier back yard (haha yeah large pieces)
Ok best we do this, so i did, i sent the young fella round the corner to get more bourbon !
Then into it ! Meh not like none of us hadn't done it before and within an hour most of the gear was inside and Bren and i were blowing the dust off his bike (Yeah DUST !!!) soon fix that i was thinkin lol !
Jane had wandered off to pram to fetch thier two dogs seeing mine was there for them to play with, (haha one tune up from the pitbull cross and she didn't want to know anymore)
Well she (my mutt) had a crash course in gettin used to them, as we locked the hounds in the garage and headed down to the local curry house for tea, while we waited for the father in law to arrive with their new appliance !

Was Great to finally meet you and Jane, Bren (and the in laws lol) any time ya need someone to come round and charm the MIL all ya need do is Holla, i only need a little warning so i can get some of that bourbon cologne going on (hate for her to think of me in any other light than that which she does)
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

Jeez you Otaki fullas are cool (in best Billy T voice),bourbons and ma in law(mil)only one letter missing Bill and f on end (of the mil).

Does take longer to clean the bloody place than load the truck all the time, and usually last thing you want to do.

Just thought i'd pop back in this thread and mention that the Redneck should be on line in due course !
Know he's having PC problems, made smoke signals when he plugged it in !

Well, finally slingshot have me hooked up...I am rather dissapointed in my speed...only 3336kbps download, and 500 upload....I am used to having at least 5000kbps. Yeah as Bill said the old PC gave up the ghost (smoke tendrills drifting up from the power supply unit) so am here on the laptop which is slow as a wet week!...speaking of wet weeks, WTF, the weather up here has been crap this week...is that normal? I thought they called it "sunny" Otaki...Still unemployed but am starting to wriggle out some feelers...there are a few logistics jobs going in welly, but would rather work on the coast...oh well, will see what happens. The house is starting to look organised now, in fact it's looking rather cosy...just dont look in the bedrooms!

Anyway The Redneck and Mrs Redneck are up here now....(thinking I might have to change my nic...they may not understand my definition of redneck up here...probably visualise burning crosses and white robes, and that aint me!

Oh...big thanks to Bill and Heidi for their help on monday, and not to forget Bills son Logan

They call it 'Sunny Otaki' out of hope that it will be. Never stop raining. Did you not notice how green it was.

Welcome to the Norf Island 'Man Who May Have Previously Been Known As Redneck'.
