Just remember you are only allowed to practise wheelies - under no circumstances are you allowed to do the real thing

    Congratulations Tigger - well done.
Shame about the weather (you know is a beaut day out at Kapiti dont you)
But perhaps it was good to get the "bad weather day" out of the way so it will be fine on the next big important day eh??? (a couple of weeks away I believe??)

Well done Tigger! Your experience reminds me of the day I sat my restricted licence. It was pissing down horrendously. So much so that the testing official decided to follow me around in a car rather than on his bike. With the wet weather came the visor fogging...

We stopped up at the Newtown Park carpark to do the wheelies and stoppies bit. There was an oil slick across most of the carpark, so that when I got to the part where I had to do my emergency stop, everything locked up and I went aquaplaning off in the direction of Wellington airport. The tester said "That was impressive. Let's try that again somewhere less slippery..."

No damage done. Test passed. Rode home in a monsoon, got dry, changed and went back to work. Top fun.

    Great stuff!
I often wondered if bad weather was better for sitting the test?
It's easier to watch speed, and you're a bit more carefull, so the instructor notices this?

I know! It's a fantastic day here now - the complete opposite from 7.30am this morning. Ah well, as Curious George said, in some ways the weather gave me a good excuse for going quite slowly and being ultra cautious.

Yes, the 'big day' is less than 2 weeks away now - my last weeks of 'singledom'....

Now I've got this out of the way I just need to sort out the dress, the photographer and the marriage licence .... plenty of time...... aarrgghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

    Well done tigger.

Congratulations. Welcome to the world of no restrictions.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.
