    Woah stop STOP...Crap!

So went to Manners today to sort a couple of issues out with my suspension, turned up to a wet track but drying.
I wanted to test my new timer and try and sort a wear issue with the rear, went out with a suggested change in damping and started screwing my old tyre on the 1st damp session.......not good.
I put a new S/Corsa on and went back to my old settings....noice, did a 1:11 flat, good for damp session considering my PB was 1:11.3.
Go out for session 3 and the tracks dry, they have resurfaced "splash" and "dunlop" again but this time its billiard table flat.......shit hot! Come in thinking I'd felt good and discover I'd done a 1:10.6
My worst corner has always been the hairpin so I forgot about the times and tried carrying more speed though the "pin", I tried just releasing the brakes earlier and it felt faster.........................I think it was, when I approached Higgins with more speed I used my previous brake marker but I wasn't gonna make it at all so straight lined for the sandpit.......sweet I thought, this'll slow me down.........it did but it was soo bumpy I lost it and got spat off My 1st off, hopefully the last.
Hardly any damage, just some paint to replace, laned on my back and hit my noggin fairly hard, so ended up driving back to the Bay with a thumping headache.
All in all a good day.........

Ooohh good thing you werent doin those times a few weeks ago! Things would have been alot more interesting! Good that the resurfaced the corners after the winter series and in just enough time for the cars and trucks to wreck it again for the nats....

I'll give you some high speed kitty litter riding lessons, I've had far too much practise. Glad the bike's OK.

Yep, you looked to be doin' it so easy too....until I saw ya head down bum up grooming the bunker, take sand wedge next time Honda's make lousy golf clubs.....

....but as I found out they make excellent green keeping equipment with turf management a specialty (ya had to be there)

I went back and had a squiz at my er, "problem area". That shiny area that Dodgy Dave was talking about was tar laid in the perfect imprint of a truck tread, so when they were doing the track repairs they've spilt tar on the truck tyres and then it's been laid on the track. After the sun had been on it I could scoop it up with my finger like caramel. I've come along on my warm up lap doing my Driving Miss Daisy impersonation, well off the racing line at fairly low speed (even for me, LOL) tipped in and.....yes....well, best not go there again.

Fuck it, I even crash slow....

Seriously mate, it was good to (try) and follow you around for a bit, and thanks for the feedback.
