If you fall off the horse...

    Hello everybody,

I had a bike (oh a cute little GN) back in 2006, which I promptly crashed and very nearly killed myself doing. Never wanting to let the moment go, I bought another (bigger size wise) bike, which I never rode. Lost my nerve, you see. Well I'm finally getting back into it, and hopefully show those sexist policemen who told me that girls can't ride and suggested a vespa how wrong they were.

I'm in Dunedin, where bikes for sale are quite few, especially at the price I'm looking for. But perhaps with the help of a friendly mechanic, a heap of junk will magically become servicable. I've been wanting one ever since the accident, reading motorcycle diaries doesn't help, and i'm going crazy.

That's all, just wanted to say hi and bolster some courage. Hopefully I'll be on a new bike by the beginning of next year, fruit picking money well spent I say. I'll be seeing ya!

Wicked definately get back on the horse.

Saw a thread on here recommending people find a big car park to play with and then KB mentors or members to cruise with them for a bit to build up confidence. all very good advice

    An ya!

    Hi,
The easy bit is riding the bike................We breed and break horses.....and i fall off the effing things on a regular basis..........Highsiding a 1000cc superbike is something i've only ever done once...........SO statistically get back on the bike and find an old KB codger with a heap of experience and go for a ride or four together..........its easy and safer than neddies!!

Scan Trade Me, the whole country is your marketplace. You can have a bike shipped down to you from anywhere via BikeTranz. Or a KBer may volunteer to ride it down for you, or at least check it out on your behalf - dont be afraid to ask.

    Welcome aboard the site btw
