    Problems with FZR 250

I have just managed to get my bike going after a long time of it just sitting. It idles very smoothly and revs well but as soon as I engage the gears it cuts out. I have cleaned the carbies and checked all valves are functional. Not too sure what to check next...any suggestions?

when enageing the clutch doesn't it cut out...or when it clicks into first gear then it cuts out.. have you tried a rolling start with motor going and a quick flick into second ..does it still cut out ? i would feel that its an electrial fault when motor is enaged ..but where to start..close inspection down by clutch housing or up by clutch lever maybe a connector has been knocked off while its been sitting around..
