hey guys ill update the first post when we decide on a time but right now im thinkin 9am meet, 9.30 take off from uni (as 9am is quite early for students on a break ) head to autobahn for fuel up and meet any chuck norris look alikes, and then go riding.....

currently, due to construction work or whatever, the route has changed from coro loop to half coro, down to whangamata, tauranga, paeroa then back up mway.....all suggestions are welcome, very open minded and just wanna ride

meeting place can be opposite eng building i guess, it's just a lil further up the road, opposite the gym....hows that sound??

Apparently the road works aren't as bad as first made out. And someone's heading to Whitianga tomo so they're gonna update this thread http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ght=coromandel

I'd rather do the top half than the bottom me thinks , gotta looove the coastal road up to Coromandel.

Coro Hill - Same as last Friday - full width reseal for about 150 metres at the bottom of the hill on the western side. No attempt to clean up the loose metal yet. That's the only resealing on the hill itself.

Castle Rock cafe to Matarangi. Only the odd spot of patch sealing, nothing to worry about although there is the odd spot of loose chip on corners.

Matarangi - about 3 km of full width reseal with deep chips. Probably done yesterday. Don't know when it will get swept.

Kuatunu - about 1 km of full width reseal with deep chips. Only laid this afternoon and still working on it.

The roading gangs are clearly working clockwise towards Whitianga.

    Meh.

I don't think there's many nubs on this ride bar Banzai, so what's the big fuss?

Ride to the conditions and your skills, and with the knowledge that there ARE roadworks on the loop.

    Game on IMO.
