    rg150

Hey guys... I mentioned I wanted to get in to some street stock racing and see how I like it (which I will). I have all the gear like leathers, back support, helmet and gloves etc. but I don't have the 150cc two stroke!!

I am not as broke as I was before, but still not that rich! I was hoping someone here had a very cheap (sub $1000) 150 that I could take off your hands? Even something that would need a fair bit of work done (I also have a lot of free time at the moment!) for a cheap price.

I am interested in any kr150's or rg150's (preferably not the rgv150's) or any other competitive 150cc two stroke. If it is around $1000, please let me know! I have looked all over trademe for a while, nearly got an rg150 once but some bugger got it JUST before me.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks guys

(btw I searched rg150 before making this thread, and it came up with a lot of weird shit....)

Get in touch with Billy on here. He can help.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

You can still apply for the vic club scholarship for next year.
I was one of the receipts last year.
Free racing for a year. You pay gas and petrol nothing else.

Get a hold of billy or AJturbo (vic club junior riders rep/coordinator). Or clive (clivours) on here.

    Hi Man,
I can't remember our criteria off the top of my head but e-mail admin@vicclub.co.nz expressing interest. If you want, include some details: age, aspirations, and stuff to show us how keen you are on the Street stock scholarship for the 2009 Actrix Winter Series. The only thing I can't remember is our cut off age.

Hey wicked!! Thanks guys! I am soooo freakin keen to get racing! I have a track day in November at Taupo on my R6 which I am eagerly looking forward to! But I am going there to go fast and most DEFINATELY NOT race!! That is what I am hoping to get out of an rg150. A bike I can thrash and not cry when I bin it from pushing it too hard.

I will absolutely sign up for that scholarship/apply for it. I will email now! This is the kind of information I was after! Thanks guys! Awesome!

    I think i heard it was 20?.

If you don't get the scholarship billy does have a ready to race KR150. Admitally the KR's are slightly slower but it will teach you to ride around the power limitations.

Woah that's not bad! I don't mind if it is slightly slower. For now. I am firmly against racing on public roads, but I really REALLY have to get on a track and race. It's killing me! I am good to race, just need the bike! Gah!

Thanks man, big help! I will txt or call soon and tell him how much I have... haha.

Yep! I have applied for the scholarship. I would really really love to be able to have a crack at it! I am sure I wouldn't let anyone down. It'd be cool to meet some of these guys that are in charge of clubs like vic club and track racing etc. to learn more. I will have to show up to some up coming races and start to meet people and see how it's done.

    Cheers!

    Don't forget the south

Motorcycling Canterbury have 3 x RG 150's which are available to all members all of the time. The purpose to introduce and and train new riders.
If you join (go to www.motocyclingcanterbury.org.nz) you will be eligible straight away. We have 4 events prior to Christmas, all of which have 3 specific training classes for new riders, plus 3 Streetstock races. So would ride up to 7 times in a day, with tuition provided.
Organise some cheap air fares and get down here 8th nov, 23rd Nov, 13 / 14th Dec. Then during the 3 South Island rounds of the nationals we run a support class over 9 races, 3 circuits. Well worth it. PM for more details if you req
