Who says fat blokes can't walk...

Well, white man cant jump apparently...

But seriously folks, thought I would blow my own trumpet and say that I dragged my wobbly arse out of bed at 4.00am this morning and did the Auckland half marathon. Walked it in 3 hrs 20 minutes which is a reasonable time for a beer swilling pie scoffing git.

Lucky enough to see a few bikers on the road whilst I was abusing myself, especially a rather lovely Harley ridden by a very small but cool looing young lady who gave all us happy walkers a wave as she cruised over the harbour bridge heading south. If you are that lady a KB' and by any chance are reading this, then you made a fat git very happy.

Ok, nuff rom me, I have a fridge full of cold piss and some left over chinese takeaway in the fridge just waiting got me to keep it company.

    Have a great week,

Take care, ride safe and eat pies

    Mean maori mean!

The Auckland half marathon is a deceptively slow course, isn't it? Lots of ups and downs to soften the legs up before you hit the bridge climb at 13km, and the last few kilometres around the tank farm are so soul-destroying...

    Well done on completing it!

    Maximum respect
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded
