Resurrecting the Auckland Girly Coffee Rides?

So now the weather is finally starting to come nice again and theres a whole bunch of new girls riding I'm thinking it would be cool to arrange another GCR as originally organised by Keystone19. http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...&highlight=GCR
My problems thus far however are that I can't off the top of my head think of a suitable destination, and my sense of direction isn't perfect (but I ain't no DD either!) So if anyone has any ideas then by all means make a suggestion.

I think the first coffee ride (or was it a chicks ride?) went up north, around the Leigh area...

only reason is that I helped marshal and guide those poor women (they need so much help at times)

I've discovered theres good coffees to be had out at Muriwai, was out there today taking photos of my bike.

As before, the pace of this ride would be determined by the ability of any newer riders, and yes, boys may be allowed to come along IF they are are bringing a lady pillion AND can behave themselves

Remember there are mobile espresso vans too, and if theres ten or more customers they will go a little out of their way for you when they are not busy. Try a few of them and see which one you like, and then maybe you can organise a little picnic and see if they'll attend. Be creative - a rest area near the beach, or some nice shady spot, just as long as its not a 25 minute drive for them there and back. Most mobile espresso operators are owners, so you are likely to have a quality experience, and quality coffee to boot.

Be aware though, if they suddenly get offered a big job they will likely drop you and take the big money.. Not nice I know, but they have to feed the troops etc, so ask them what time of the day where this is unlikely to happen.

"What Steve said pretty much summed it up."
"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"
    "Wow, Great advise there DB."

...and that was what kind of made them difficult to organise for Keystone. The boys just love the sound of their own keyboard.

I would be up for it....just dont tell those smelly boys where the ride is going

I see your point, but how does one start sorting out details without posting a thread?

Right, any GIRLS interested in this, send me a PM, once we've got a few interested we'll start sorting out dates etc
(just not this weekend coz I'm moving house... again)

Still have to sit my restricted which I was going to until the poor EL decided the trip to Napier and back was too much for it and decided to have a few problems which I need to fix.

You can create a social group, and can set it that:
    1) you can't see any posts unless you are in the group
    2) joining the group requires approval

Want me to create it for you?

and how the hell do you know I smell?

Hmm hopefully it won't come to that, surely it can't be that offensive to the male ego to have us girls want to do our own thing occasionally? Just go do coro loop that day or something

Anyway, look at the long term big picture here, I'm encouraging more girls to attend group rides, so eventually you may get to meet them

And girls, don't worry they really aren't half as bad as they sound on here, they really do kinda smell after being in their leathers too long though

You haven't been on here long enough to perhaps remember the fuss it kicked up amongst the more "sensitive males" (no, I didn't think they existed either )

I might just do a bit of testing... no sense sending you half baked instructions, I need to make sure I can delete my testing once I am done (odd not having full control over something IT related for once )

edit: pm me if you want help, otherwise I'll let you know
