Secret ride to pick up secret package is done.

Worlds wordst kept secret and Bonez jumped on the back of the concours (brave lad) and we headed up to Dannivegas to pick up Sarge and on to the bay to pick up Bonez new bike.

Had to take it for a bit of a spin so had a magic ride out in the bay taking in wimbolton, webber and a few of the old favourite roads.

Stopped for a drink at the wimbolton pub which was very pleasent. Surprised to not see more bikers around the place on a sunny sunday afternoon.

Pics in my sig but here is just one.

Snap! Did anyone there tell him not to bother? The take from that place would hardly cover his gas there and back.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Thanks Lance, James and John for the escort service. Your hourly charge out rate was quite reasonable. Hadn't been pillion for around 20 odd years and thought I may have been a bit tense but a quick scoot though the Gorge sorted out any apprehension I had. Meanie was brilliant.

Met NZSarge at Dannevagas(did wait at Ashhurst for a bit thinking Yod might make a showing). Coffee and a natter then off to Tiko Kino to pick up CuBiX.

Thanks Mike!!! Quick inspection showed the chain was dry so Sarge being the prepared bloke he is sent me off down the road a bit to warm it up and applie his handy dandy chain waxerer when I returned. And I tightened up the LH mirror, with the 6 inch adjustable spanner I just happen to have, which I knew was loose from the test ride last weekend. Talked bikes to Mike for bit then off we went...............

Rolled on into Waipawa at a "sedate" pace to gas the ol girl up. Met a chap there who'd just purchased a minter '85 GPZ900 from Palmerston North. A plan was hatched as to where we were headed next (Hmm I seez- follow me). Broom broom and off we go. Took the lads over a bit of brill tarmac they hadn't been on before then looped into Waipuk for NZSarge to gas up and a topup for the rest of us. Had coffee and nibbles while we were stationary. Bit hard to drink and eat a pie whilst wearing a "fog off" mask (which are crap at slow speed btw especially if you wear glasses) and helmet.

Hmm where to next? Sarge piped up "Porongahau/ Wimbleton". Very reluctently (if you beleive that.....) we set off. Sarge and Cowboyz zoomed off into the distance with Meanie in hot pursuit why'll I did me own thing as usual. Fuck CuBeX runs well. Was expecting the 16 inch to be a bit skitterish but no sign of that at all. We regrouped at Wimbleton and met a nice couple on an oilhead R80 beemer doing a tour. Bit of natter, and a round shouted by yours truely, outside the pub. Suited up then off to Dannivagas then onto the centre of the universe for a refreshing drink, natter, catch up with Mrs Meanie and Mrs Yod(rumour has it Yod was still in bed) then off home for tea.

I gotta say I did exactly the same thing, I was to busy concentrating on the man mountain bank robber, it looks like a still from police 10/7. I suppose the big fuggin Honda decal emblazoned on the fairing should have been a clue

Enjoy Mr Bonez, always nice to get a new ride.
    Oh bugger

    can't believe i missed out on a GPz900R, dagnabbit

shame not to get out today, what a bloody minter!

didn't get much sleep as i've picked up a bit of a scratchy throat from somewhere, decided i should save a few beans for a change so did the lawns and then sat in the sun and consumed a frosty beverage or two - and what a fine afternoon it was for consuming frosty beverages...

nice beastie bonez, should serve you well
