Ummm, now you're asking all the hard questions...I'd say we will be there no later than 9:45, if we're there earlier and no-one's about, we'll wait a short while.
I have no idea what the 'average' speed will be...Typically a KB rated slow ride will not exceed the indicated speed limits, and corners may or may not be taken around the 'suggested'/signed speeds. On the Miranda straights you wouldn't get much change out of $2.50...I don't want to incriminate myself, so I hope this gives you an idea.
We will probably only have one fuel stop. Paeroa is not far, and we want to try and get the best balance between not having to wake up at 7am and not turning up after half the day's racing is complete...

Thought twas you there.....but I'm the stranger to Tauranga, I don't know it at all. I can get there Ok but after that ????
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    ...

LOL! No worries, that sounds about the pace of our group anyway. Those miranda straights are bad news! I'm a bit slower than most of them, esp up the twisty bit between kawa & kaiaua (still getting used to the 400), but I'll catch up further along. Beats going down the boring highway and getting a nice square tyre. See you around 9.40ish. Should be about 5 bikes in our lot.

I see no reason why we shouldn't do this again!

These are the details as of 11-02-05:

Meet at the Caltex carpark, Mt Wellington Hwy (by the BK)

    9:00am, for a 9:15 depart

A reminder that slow riders may find the pace a bit too quick - aimed at medium to quick riders - the whole wake up late and make up the difference kinda thing...

A recommendation for a place to meet at paeroa to sit and dump our gear
The grassy knoll overlooking the hairpin.

Do you think a slow rider like myself will be able to keep up?

Hey enigma, I doubt I'll be keeping up with the rest of my group. They normally stop and wait for me, so if you are any slower than me (highly unlikely!) you'll still have company!

Don't wait-up for me (not that you would anyway) guys. I have just had my W/E plans derailed. Friday Night Drag is totally shot (fu*ken Horse Owners ). I may get there for Sunday, but don't hold you're breath.
