must have been ya brother... from evidence of today's ride, you never use the middle of the tyre

really enjoyed the ride - as usual, weather improved as headed over east. Temperature was far more pleasant than last week, but a little damp for the beach.

Hopefully will get a beach run in soon though

Well i need and want my 600.... Its very disheartening to have your bike banging the rev limiter only to watch the bikes infront pull away quickly

Rear tyre was stuffed (not as bad as yours though MR hehehe thats almost KK standards...) and my front brake pads are down to the steel.... so no more rides for a while guys sorry i havnt got any money to fix my bikes

How is that??? Three bikes, and none of them are rideable

That was me. Had spent the weekend at a friend's bach at Hahei and was on my way back home. Sorry to have left you behind, crashe, but I needed a bit of a blat... Rain on the Coromandel had made for a fairly slow journey up to that point. BTW went from Whitianga to Coromandel and back on Sat afternoon - weather definitely better on the west side. But all in all not the best conditions for doing the loop.

    Hey no worries Mike...
I was originally gonna go the way I ended up going...So no sweat....
I had fun passing heaps of vehicles when I turned back onto the main road... all the way back to the bottom of the Bombay's.

RG150: $240 for the rear tyre
    $65 for brake pads

ZXR400 to get back on the track: $200 odd for the Braided brake lines
$200 for the Carbon Race brake pads
$30 for Dot 4 brake fluid???

GSX-R600: OEM parts, about 10 grand
E-bay and the USA, about 3 grand (hopefully)

So whats that??? Somewhere in the region of $4-$14 grand Bikes are so awesome, but cost so much

And the ZXR400 will need new tyres soon..... another $400 lol.....

Shit mate.... thats a lot of dosh...
The RG150 is the cheapest to get back on the road.

Someone mentioned above that you've got a new job, so hopefully you will be back on the road in a couple of weeks on the RG150.

And you are right... Bikes do cost a lot to maintain and to keep them on the road or tracks..

    Good times....

Yeah cheers all... another good ride and met some new faces. Glad that rain held off for the most part and had a good ride into Whanga's, down to Waihi and back again. Particularly good fun riding along with a MR and Arden through the windies in the dry. Untill next time.....

    Catch ya,
    _daryl

Oh and Arden don't forget you owe Paparazzi 150mm of fishing nylon! Way to smash shit off another mans bike dude!

Err, anyway. Awesome ride on awesome roads. Thanks for the company and great riding Arven and dss3.

    Catch yous next time.

Listen, you've met me, you know I'm a relatively decent guy and that I've got nothing against you, so don't get upset, but:

Riding on that tyre, at those or ANY speeds is irresponsible and immature... Jeezes you guys have JUST got your full. Yes, I know you're great on the track, but take it easy - you're not invincible. I still think that there are great cases of confidence exceeding ability, not only with this event...

Don't get me wrong, I just don't want to see you, or any other of you crazy Orks hurt, or more likely killed.

    Dave
PS: Yes, yes, yes, I've STILL got jeans as riding pants, what's your point

Have you considered a RG/ZXR/GSXR mutant?

How's about a RG frame, repowered with a ZXR engine, ZXR forks, with GSXR brakes? And some crusty KB yellow fairings?
We're all fucked. I'm fucked. You're fucked. The whole department is fucked. It's the biggest cock-up ever. We're all completely fucked.
