    I need to find out a bit about someone and if the house they are in is rented or they own it...

    The local council has a listing of who owns a property and unless confidential that can normally be accessed online.

    If you tell us the area the house is located in, we can direct you to title-search tools for the corresponding local authority (i.e. council).
