Can I suggest you get them to unbolt the forks, get them sent to Robert Taylor, and get him to rebuild them with Racetech cartridges, and weight appropriate springs for you.

Get an Ohlins shock while you are there (the "cheap" one is OK for road).

It will utterly transform the bike, improve the roadholding, the compliance and safety.

Seriously. those mods are the two best things I have ever done, modification wise, to any motorbike I have ever owned.

fork rebuild was about $800 and the shock about $1200 IIRC.

By the way, I have an 04 Hornet 900.

not necessarily. I dont want this to be the ultimate road racer Im just not happy with the crap mushy front suspension just wana stifen it up a tad , rear seems ok but most likely because the fronts on its limit before the rear gets a chance. if you no what i mean.

OK, so PM Robert Taylor and see if you can just buy the right springs for the forks.

    I assume Henry D C thought you had a 900 as I did.

The front end of my Hornet was soft too, but all I had to do was dial in some preload.
