Okay, so I took my bike apart a few months to take the carbies out and got em down to the shop to get cleaned out. This was done fine BUT in process of taking bike apart (Honda CBR250R MC19) I noticed a few random other things to fix so a bunch of months, several uni exams, hundreds of dollars and weeks of bike time at the mechanics later I finally have everything back and I was able to piece most of it together. I now have two problems which a) make me look like an idiot and b) mean I can't ride my bike. The first is that I seem to have a couple of random screws left over...I'm a little bit worried about this...don't think they are for anything ESSENTIAL but I'd rather not take the risk, anyone know enough about the bike to tell me where they go? Photo attached. Second, the bike won't actually start. It turns over but doesn't seem to be firing. Any ideas why? There is SOME fuel still in the tank but not a lot, is this gonna be a problem? How long should I expect it to take for the bike to start?

Scratch the fuel thing. I got it sorted...who knew you could put the auto full cock on backwards well, hurrah for second looks. The screws still haven't found a home though. I hope there really is someone who does literally know 'every bolt and screw' of that bike. Ug.

there are numerous threads here with bike wont start do a search it does not need to be bike specific
this is a very brief list
yes add more gas the gas in your tank may be stale
check for spark remover spark plugs and turn over motor and look
is there fuel vapour in the cylinders smell
I would really recommend you track down someone with more bike knowledge to help you with this, hopefully there is a friendly KBer down there
cant help with the washers etc
treat it as a learning experience, cheers !!

(search manuels on here ) get a pdf version and look at the carby section

Got the rubber bits on the rear tank mount? the washer and one of the rubber gromits look like the kind used there...

Thanks for the tips birdhandler but yeah, got the bike going fine.

Yeah, had a look at a manual but I seem to have all the screws in the carbies. Problem is that manuals for this bike are all based on a generic version so doesn't really have any pictures which are for my specific bike so seem to be some slight differences. I'd say they probably are from random screws which hold the bike itself together.

They don't really look like carb bits at all. Sure it's not something to do with holding the bodywork on?

Most times one pulls anything apart and puts it back together you end up with leftover bits

One of them resembles a float bowl screw... But unlikely if the mechanic did that job

The rubber bits look to me either like:
The fairing mount bits, where the plastic piece on the fairing connects to the metal mount on the frame/engine.
Or else, one of them could be for the top mount of the petrol tank, or possibly the bottom mount

HAHA!! here here jiminy! Anyway, found places for a few of the bits. The u shaped thing goes on the lock under the rear seat, the plastic bit with the metal in the middle is for a fairing mount - also near rear seat, and the other plastic bit seemingly (according to mechanic) shouldn't be near my bike as it belongs to some part of the brake disc or something - but not one which goes on my bike.
