    big assed panes of glass

    shifting house this weekend and need to get rid of some junk...
    so does anyone have a use for 8 panes of glass
    roughly 3m x 1m at 12mm thick
    they are on the shore and are heavy as ****
    I am sure they will make a nice addition to someone else's hordeOfJunk
    no idea wat there worth so gimme an offer if ur interested

    its wat we got them for originaly...
    funny how it never happened
    woulda been a bitch to replace the water every 2 weeks tho

    Yeah we tossed out a whole bunch of glass like that from work a while back - used for windows on high rise office buildings. Couldn't sell them as no one wanted them because they no longer had the protective sticky layer on them to stop scratches. Way too thick for fish tanks (each sheet weighed about 90kg) but would be good for making coffee tables from.

    We ended up getting a glass recycling truck to come and take them away.

    nah... a good pump with a really good filter... a mate in Oz used to build tanks.. he had 6 eight foot tanks in his bar room (2 shelves with 3 tanks in each).... looked friggin cool and he never changed the water!!!

    we have one of those tanks here somewhere... and they are so good looking, you could chuck a coupla pihrana in and nobody would know the difference... or so I have heard....
