    Don't look now

"Police urge motorcyclists to focus on road, not scenery
    4:00AM Thursday Dec 04, 2008

Motorcyclists visiting the Coromandel and Hauraki districts need to keep their eyes on the road and off the views to avoid accidents, police say."

I can't decide whether this piece of 'advice' beggars belief or the possibility exists that some touring bikers 'actually' take in the views.

A poll seems the only way to answer this.
    Only 'Now' exists in reality.

If you don't notice the scenery then you should slow down. The offs come from going way too quick - not from people dawdling looking at the scenery.

if people want to look at the scenery, stop at one of the many "lookouts", i dont want some knob wobbling across the centreline at 15kph because he was distracted by a good looking flock of geep under a pohutukawa tree, next to the beach.

Crikey you could add illia to a comment like that !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

Concentrate on riding / the road / other road users / that dog on the side of the road - then when I have time I take in the scenery where appropriate.

Sometimes I get to looks around heaps - other times I don't - it all depends on the conditions.

I keep my eyes on my speedo. My bike will explode and kill me and 12 innocent bystanders if I speed.

the offs? like all of them?

didn't realize you had studied in depth all the accidents of the coromandle region. If only we had some sort of force that attended all the accidents. oh thats right we do! and they said to keep the eyes on the road.

Hey, why don't you bring your person information removedvan to Scrivy's endurance race on the 29th? You'd sell heaps of icecreams and you'd find out why nodrog is a mentor.

thats a brilliant idea, maybe i could get sponsership?
