My inlaws went out and left there dog (family pet) chained up at his kennel by front door. Burglers came, tried to feed him poisoned meat. Dog slipped collar and bit one of them. Court ordered dog to be destroyed.

Would have fought that order and hope a judge had common sense,as you say wtf were they doing on PRIVATE property.

Lighter side on dogs getting fed,ours hates the Petes' Post scooter coming around the corner,but likes the NZ Postie,seems she has a couple of tux biscuits she gives him,she asked if it was ok,he enjoys his rations,but won't eat them when we buy them lol.

Since when have the courts ever given any indication that, just because people are doing unlawful stuff without your invitation on your private property, that crims should be punished?

Like the idea of electric fences hehe,knew a local retailer who had an electrical outlet for many years,never had a break in,then he used his old premises for selling named brand clothes,several break in later he told the cops I'm going to run wire around and give the bastards a good boot,was told nope can't do that.He said piss off if the bastards are around the rear,or on the roof they deserve 240 volts.He was allowed to power the bars inside the shop,but not outside on the roof,back door etc.
