    GN250 first gear with clutch

I've got a 2005 GN250 I bought used from a dealer. for gears 2 to 5 i can shift with the clutch all the way in. For 1st gear I have to only hold in the clutch slightly to engage. if i pull the clutch in more then I can't shift into 1st even at a dead stop. Is this normal? If not what can I do to fix it?
    TIA

Not normal... stretched / freyed clutch cable ?. .... or perhaps the clutch just needs adjustment ? easy enough to do.

1 would assume that it changes easy between 2nd thru to 5th as the bike is reving / moving ?
Take it back to the dealer you got it & have them look at it.

May i suggest downloading the GN workshop manual from somewhere on this site. Very handy indeed when the wee beast needs some attention.

Yep at best clutch adjustment or clutch cable needing attention, at worst gear selector bent or twisted, does it change easily from 2nd to 1st while moving ?, if so then it may not be the gear selector in the gearbox.
for a manual check out www.workshopmanuals.co.nz
