Pricing a set of knobblies for my R1100GS. Yes I know everyone runs TKC 80s but I like to be tight with me money. Its the Scottish blood in me veins laddy
Mitas E-09 are a shit load cheaper but (always the but ) They are slightly different profile.
Rear 140/80 - 17 instead of 150/70 - 17. So the question is, has anyone fitted one of these to there Beemer and are there any issues involved with doing this

doubt very much wether the Mitas are a radial,and your machine is meant to have radials.you will chop them out in no time,not to mention the 140/80 being too small.best wearing tyre for the oilhead g/s is the metzeler tourance and we have tried them ALL.ya gets what yer pays for.....

PM me if you want some good used ones,we have at last count about 50 to choose from,Michelin,Avon,Metzeler and pirelli

IMHO dont waste your time or money with those Mitas,they are designed for smaller and lighter bikes.

Got Pirrellis on at the moment and on the road they stick like the proverbial to a blanket. Not bad on the gravel either. But they dont have big knobby things sticking out of them to propel me forward thru the stuff we stuck on the blanket earlier
