Lightbulb Emergency remote car unlocking method

Ever locked the keys in the car?

If you have remote activated locking and lock your keys in the car just call someone on your cell phone who has another set.
Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the other person hold the remote near their phone and press the unlock button and
    your car will unlock.

Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. You could be hundreds
of miles away and if you can reach someone who has the other remote for your car you can unlock the doors.

Editor's Note: It works fine! We tried and it unlocked our car over a cell phone! Neat tip.

Careful Jantar, people here may think such actions are typical of your approach. Reminds me of that joke how the pscho was treated for violent behaviour and the thereapists promised a wonderful bonus if the psycho learned the lesson. After they were hit by flying bricks as they walked away the psycho said "you won't forget now will ya".

Have'nt the slightest clue, but I don't plan on actually locking my moms keys in her car just locking the car and having her friend in tauranga press the button. we'll see how it works when she gets here tuesday or wensday.

Remember on Top Gear they did the thing with remote not working cos too far away, and then putting against head and it unlocked. I've tried that one and it works. Maybe your brain waves unscramble signals sent over the phone? Can anyone else please try it cos I need to know if it works!

brain electricity might act as antenna... phone wouldnt tho coz it broadcasts on its own frequency... my vodafone phone used to make the radar detector go nuts at times (mainly in the Hutt) till some fucker stole it... (gunna find the thievin c*nt oneday and feed him my speeding ticket!!!)

I can only guess the microphone and speaker can pickup and transmit that freq.

I'll go test. (Walks away to talk to wife. Wanders around testing. He's coming back...)

Nope. It's a fail. Don't work with my Dynatron (top of the line model but same basic system as at the bottom of the range) and Nokia cellphone.

If phones could do that, they'd be unlocking cars all over the show!!! FCC says phones can only transmit certain frequency...
