Only heard two songs so far but I'd have to say that nah I'm not that fussed.

I'd rather hear something new from Velvet Revolver to be honest if they ever get another singer.

That new GNR guitarist ain't a patch on Slash. Too much twiddly twiddly stuff and not enough good riffing and the riffs were what GNR were all about to me.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

    - James Dickey, Cherrylog Road.

    Intersting note mate.

I am yet to hear anything fom the album but I read an article on Axyl Rose during the week and he sounds like a real handful to deal with. Hopefully the album live up to his ego I suppose.

Cant imagine GNR without Slash for the exact reasons you mention.

I must admit I am a huge GnR fan, I love everything right up to Spaghetti Incident, I have 'received' an advance copy of the Chinese Democracy album and am so sad to say that it dissapoints terribly, if you are looking for a Illusion Mark III or even something closer to Appetite, then I'm afraid you will be disappointed.

This album is really bad, especially for the hype is has generated over the past few years, I have listened to it 5 times now and tried my damndest to like it, but I just can't maybe I need to re-vsist it again in a months time. Just my 5 cents..........

    Oh bugger, what a shame
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

Hmmmmm, Thought Chinese Democracy was quite good, if the rest of the album is as good I'll be a happy boy....

And if it aint, well... WHO CARES, I'll just continue to "Rock out with my cock out" to the new Motley Crüe album

Axel lost the plot when he got fat, wearing spandex shorts with ginger braids.

    Not cool.

It's not Gunners, it's Axel and Friends.

Exactly. Listen to Velvet Revolver if you want to hear the real GNR now.

But neither is it ever going to be GNR without Axel.

GNR has been and gone as far as I am concerned. I love Appetite for Destruction and Use your Illusion 1 & 2. That's all GNR is to me - and that's a whole lot btw!
