Quick service question

Hello,

Just coming up to my first 1000kms service, its on a brand new 08 250 Ninja, ive done about 1030kms, so its ready to be done, its booked in on monday

Question--- If i wanted to go around the coromandel loop tomorrow, by doing so adding 300-400 more kms, does it void any part of my 2 year mechanical warranty by not doing the service AT 1000kms ???

I was a bit over for the SV at 1k....no warranty problems mentioned.....

Thanks, id rather not disconnect speedo, i like to know what speed im doing haha, anyone know how strict they are on what kms you bring it in ??

Figure you're already gone or not by now but......

~50% over is not a good look. The first service is pretty important for warranty and safety as they change the oil and tighten everything up.

Just remember it's "at or before" not "sometime after" so you can do it a few hundred early without problems.

Shouldn't be a problem. But ring the shop just to be certain. Never heard of any manufacturer being that anal about km's at first service, (and I've done a few).
