Nice to see all these good things said about my dad.

A man I did not know half as well as any of you, maybe for lack of a better option, maybe from my own ignorance.

I think I will forever regret not meeting with you at least one last time.

As for Kari, I do not remember you well but my condolences nonetheless, I guess I may be meeting a few of you for the first time in a few days.

Thank you all for your support.

OMG Kari, I've just logged on and seen this.

    Unbelievable.
Brett will be very very missed.

And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

    Rip :(

When I got the call from Kari this morning, I just couldn't believe it !!

Here I was with Brett last Sunday pulling his CBR apart with him trying to change those effing plugs which are difficult without the tools and us having such a laugh together and now this !!!
Somehow, those plugs are just unimportant now.

Brett was a wonderful person, very kind and friendly.
I feel very fortunate to have met him and myself and Bridgy will miss him immensely.

Died doing what he loved doing, he loved his CBR and more importantly Kari.

    RIP Brett.

Nasty, I'm very, very sorry to hear this. God bless you and your loved ones through these times.

I couldn't believe what I was reading late last night and it took some time to sink in. Sleep didn't come easy, as I'm sure it couldn't have for you.

I had the pleasure of meeting Grub once only, but that told me a little about the man.

On my learner's just over a couple of years ago, Grub was in front of me coming up to a halt sign. He was turning right, me left.

When I pulled in at Whitby BP, there he was right behind me (he'd obviously recognised a newbie, and turned around to have a word), introducing himself by saying "nice bike". It wasn't, but he was diplomatic about it. As I recall, he was riding his old CBR600 (the pinkish one)!

Anyways, he went to on make small talk and to suggest I turn up to the Wednesday night rides down at the Duck Pond. To my lasting shame I never got around to it.

I have always remembered this brief meeting, as it told me so much about the biker community and possibly something about him also.

My condolences, and as so many have said here, please let me know (PM) if there is anything I can do to ease your burden.
