Just getting to know you Brett, Kari what a loss. You know we're round the corner. I heard the bikes arrive back last night - two of them - and just assumed Brett was one half. Then more and more bikes today, then read the post. We're so sorry.

I only ever met Brett properly for the first time that morning, and I would have really liked to know him better. I wish we'd been able to get help sooner. I am very, very sincerely sorry and my thoughts are with you.

Unhappy Damn it life can be cruel

My claim to fame is Grub's blister, as he used to call me, when he wasn't calling me Flea, a nicknname he gave me when I was the little sister bugging him, many years ago.

I was fortunate to have been transported round Wellington and up over the hills etc on the back of Brett's bike, such awesome times. I enjoyed a day at Vic Club races with Brett and Kari, where I took heaps of photos and met a few of you. These memories are very precious to me, because I will always remember Brett doing what he loved and being with good friends.

Thank you all for your wonderful messages and the support that you are giving Kari. They had an amazing relationship and I treasure you Kari as part of our family.

Grub went doing what he loved, but damn I wanted him around for a lot longer.

    Lea
