    OMCC track day at Levels

Well i finaly got my arse into gear and joined the omcc.
Well ok busted I had to to beable to do there track day yesterday and im in .

Got to the track on time and then started getting set.
I hoped things didnt go like the unloading of the bike as i dropped the figgin thing halfway off the trailer witch was'nt the best start but luckly no damage.

Walked around and had a look at tha other bikes on display [I think mine was the shittiest lookin bike there but a bloody good advert for locktite glue]
Anyway i got gear checked and suited up.

Had a blast over 5 rounds on the track getting past by the bigger bikes on the straights but was concentrating on the corner speed anyway [400 against a thou or 6 hundie was never gonna be a comp on the straight].

Only one bin for the day was on the last round in my class was i think a yammy dropped on the sweeper goin onto the straight but thankfully the guy looked ok.

Finished the day and loaded up and headed away to find a poling place.
Voting out of the way we proceeded home watching the speed as the plods were out in force [every one of them had someone pulled up].
almost got rearended buy a vitara in omaru when we braked to avoid a dog and then again when we stoped at a pedestrian crossing buy a landcrusier with a trailer on with god knows whot on it but it was a massive load.
About then i was thinkin how safe i was on the race track .

Anyway got home and relaxed out.

Thanks to OMCC for a great day and everyone else involved.

Now all i need is a cheep bigger bike to swap for my bike

Nice to meet you on Saturday kc. See you at the next one. Hope you can get a good bike sorted as there is the Teretonga Summer series starting on 14th Dec if you not going into Burt Munroe late this month. I more than most people also know how frustrating it is to be passed on the straight!

You can get license info from MNZ here http://www.mnz.co.nz/overseas.aspx
    http://www.motorcyclingnz.co.nz/down...cence%2008.pdf (form)
When you get your newsletter from OMCC there is a contact for Pat Aichison who is a MNZ steward and I know that she has assisted people sort thier licenses in the past if you have trouble. The club used to assist with some fees for first time licence getters - not sure it this still applies.
Pre 82 is something I also have been thinking of, if you come across a bike that is worth considering but not what you want let me know and I will do rthe same for you.(I need CHEAP!)
Info on the Teretonga summer series is here http://www.southlandmotorcycleclub.org.nz/
    Congrats on the engagement!

So how was it brad? Virgin ride on the 08 Blade - Chief motivator Tim "What the fuck was what that wheelstand for" Rush at the helm - Leighton humming on the retard - annoying bastards parked beside you in the pits always asking for cheap gear - what more could you ask for.

Group two mate. Black CBR400RR. Old Black Beauty! Not so much glue but plenty of zippy ties hidden in there. She goes ok though.

Choice bro, very nice bike to ride even when not set up 100%,apart from Chief motivator trying to turn it into a pre season Moto GP test it was a great day!
