Hey there,
I have a SV1000S with the Yoshi cans.
I also have the baffles for these cans but buggered if I can get them inserted.
Is there a tip to how they can be inserted and removed easily?
It's WOF time and I need to put them in.

I've tried putting them in but it seems like a mallet is needed. How would they ever come out?????
Jiggle jiggle push shove. They'll go in, and yep, they go in the way you think, even if they appear a bit reluctant. I know it seems unlikely now, but they will work there way out on their own if you don't secure them... so make sure you put the bolt in (or rivet if your ones have that).
The restrictors for the Staintune mufflers can be a bit hard to get in/out sometimes, although one of mine is noticeable looser than the other one. One key thing is to make sure you clean the muffler outlet well, and the outside of the restrictor/baffle to remove soot (engine spooge?) before you try to put the baffle in. With the tighter of my two Staintune restrictors, I've even resorted to putting a smear of copperslip grease on it to ease its insertion.
... and that's what I think.
Or summat.
Or maybe not...
Dunno really....![]()
